Vital Life Foundation
Honoring Our WWII Veterans

On Wednesday, May 29th, ten World War II veterans were honored at the Portland Airport before heading to Washington, D.C. to visit the D.C. memorials for the first time. The Vital Life Foundation partnered with Wish of a Lifetime to honor these veterans with a trip of a lifetime along with a proper send off. The veterans were met at the airport by a group of active duty colonels from the Air National Guard as well as members of The Patriot Guard, a local motorcycle club that honors our nation’s veterans. The decorated group of World War II veterans includes Sergeant Milton Howe, a Marine Corps Sergeant who won three Purple Hearts serving in Australia, Korea and Okinawa. This trip reflected true appreciation for veterans that serve our country.
